What is Plagiarism?


Plagiarism is taking another author’s work or ideas and presenting them as your own (Oxford University, viewed 3 September 2020). Plagiarism is therefore academic fraud or academic theft and activities may include but not limited to:

  1. Buying online papers and submitting them as your own
  2. Paraphrasing ideas without giving credit to the original source
  3. Using quotations without citing
  4. Submitting someone’s work as your own
