The World Bank's Open Data initiative is intended to provide all users with access to World Bank data. The Data Catalog is a listing of available World Bank datasets, including databases, pre-formatted tables, reports, and other resources Access to Information. The World Bank Policy on Access to Information sets forth a groundbreaking change on how the World Bank provides information to the public. Now the public can obtain additional information than ever before—information about projects under preparation, projects under implementation, analytic and advisory activities, and Board proceedings. Underlying the new policy is the principle that the World Bank will disclose any information in its possession that is not on a list of exceptions

OpenEdition Journals is a web platform for e-Journals in the humanities and social sciences. More than half of them are available in Open Access. Additional services are available through subscribing libraries and institutions.

A multidisciplinary database with journals covering Accounting, Banking and Finance Management, Business and Industry, Global Business and Economy, Computer Science, Information Systems and Information Technology Management, Management of Natural Resources, and Global Issues Life Sciences Society Themes.

The Open Science Directory has been developed by EBSCO and the Hasselt University Library based upon a request by marine information management experts collaborating within the framework of the IOCs (Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO) IODE (International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange) programme. The goal is to create a global search tool for all open access and special programs journal titles. About 13000 journals are now available in the Open Science Directory.

Open Yale Courses (OYC) provides lectures and other materials from selected Yale College courses to the public free of charge via the Internet. The courses span the full range of liberal arts disciplines, including humanities, social sciences, and physical and biological sciences.
