The accused faces a charge of murder it being alleged that on the 17th of November 2016, at Ross Common Estate, Chimanimani, he, with actual intent or realizing the real risk or possibility of death, struck Bigboy Matsangaise with an iron bar on the head, face and body thereby inflicting injuries from which the said Bigboy Matsangaise died. “Much ado about nothing.”; “Storm in a tea cup.” One cannot find a better phrase to aptly describe the comedy of errors displayed by the National Prosecuting Authority and in particular its Acting Prosecutor General. The two accused are cousins in that their mothers are sisters. The deceased, Siyahamba Mukukuzi, (“the deceased”) was the elder brother of the second accused and a cousin to 1st accused. The accused Madalitso Ranchi, a male adult, was charged with murder in that on the 25th of July 2015 at B 37 Beatrice Location, Beatrice he had unlawfully and with intent to kill murdered his wife Pamela Muzondo, or realising that there was a real risk or possibility that death might result, had struck the deceased with an unknown object thereby causing injuries from which the said Pamela Muzondo died.
